Pulped my first tooth yesterday. It was a beautiful prep on tooth T, delightful outline form. Then, deep inside the floor, an ominous pinprick of vivid crimson. Pulpotomy, SSC. The child smiled, and I learned some lessons. Don't trust primary tooth anatomy. Hell, don't trust anything.

ReplyDeleteI just had my first mechanical pulp exposure yesterday. I feel awful for this poor 24 yr old girl from Nags Head that came here for a DO on #19 and is now going to end up w/ RCT, build up and PFM crown on #19...Talked to Solow today to see what school could do to incur the costs and he was really cool about it...just going to charge her for the original DO amalgam for the whole sha-bang! Keep your head up pal, I know how you feel---minus the OI :)
